Wethaq Takaful Insurance Company – Egypt obtained final approval from the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority on 14/2/2008 as an Egyptian joint-stock company subject to the provisions of Law No. 155 of 2024 and the regulations thereof, and is registered with the Authority under No. 23 and Commercial Registry No. 36274. It began operating in 2008.

The company is subject to the supervision and control of the Financial Regulatory Authority.

Authorized capital 

The authorized capital amounts to one billion Egyptian pounds.

Issued and paid-up capital 

The issued and paid-up capital amounts to 400 million Egyptian pounds, distributed as follows:

1- Adeem Investment Company with a 33% stake – a Kuwaiti company

2- Various businessmen, representing 67%
