• 1948: Salama Trading was established, focusing on grain and spice trading.
• 1959: Operations halted due to historical events in Egypt.
• 1977: Operations resumed, and the company expanded into construction contracting, renaming itself Shotmed.
• 1983: Acquired a steel fabrication workshop in El Sahel, Cairo, to meet growing demand.
• 1985: Relocated the workshop to a larger facility in the Tibetan district, south of Cairo.
