Located in Shabramant, a traditional village near Cairo at the foot of the Pyramids, our 5000 sqm factory reflects our commitment to community-driven craftsmanship and innovation. For decades, our team’s dedication and local knowledge have been the foundation of Alamein’s success.

Our Journey

Founded by Hamid – Abdel Hamid Sabry, an artist and mechanical engineer, Alamein began with classic furniture making and billiard tables in the 1980s. Hamid’s passion for craftsmanship led him to pioneer a billiard hall in Egypt, showcasing his unique designs and engineering skills.

Playgrounds: A New Line of Innovation

In the early 1990s, inspired by the needs of his children and their friends, Hamid identified a gap in the market for high-quality playgrounds in Egypt. Today, Alamein is known for its signature jungle gyms, swing sets, playhouses, see-saws, and mini gyms, all designed with safety, creativity, and durability in mind.

Nile Class: Reviving Tradition

Alamein’s expertise extends to custom designs, such as the Nile Class sailing boat. Built to revive an old Nile racing sport, this project showcased our woodwork and craftsmanship, earning recognition in the press and inspiring the creation of a sailing club.

Outdoor Furniture and Beyond

Hamid’s vision expanded to include outdoor furniture, such as umbrellas and high-end designs. Alamein also oversees production for CARAVANSERAI, a luxury furniture brand, using kiln-dried beech wood. Our in-house wood drying kiln, specially designed and operated by our team, ensures the highest quality materials for every product.
