Our Journey
Kandil Steel’s journey began with the production of manual agricultural machinery, transitioning to semi-automatic machinery and boilers in the early 1900s. In the 1950s, under the leadership of Mr. Mohy Kandil, the company shifted its focus to flat steel, establishing a small workshop for processing steel sheets. This marked the beginning of Kandil Steel’s strong presence in the Egyptian market.
Modern Era
In the 1980s, Kandil Steel established KAMA, the first modern flat steel service center in 10th of Ramadan City. By 2000, the company initiated the first privately owned cold rolling mill in Egypt, followed by a galvanizing line in 2003. Continuous investments in new production lines and the acquisition of Galvametal in 2007 solidified Kandil Steel’s position as a market leader.
