About Baldwin Engineering

Founded in 1979 by Mr. Esam Elkholy, Baldwin Engineering began as an electro-mechanical contracting company. Over the years, we have grown into a leading manufacturer of steam and hot water boilers, heat exchangers, pumping stations, fuel oil tanks, and systems.

Our Factory and Expertise

In 1982, our Boiler & Pressure Vessels Factory was established in Egypt. Designed by Mrs. Ferial Elkholy, the factory adopted advanced know-how from Mr. Dennis Baldwin, founder of Dennis Baldwin & Sons Ltd. (now Byworth Boilers).

To honor the friendship between the founders, the factory was named Baldwin Engineering.

Manufacturing Excellence

In 1984, we signed a licensing agreement with D. Baldwin & Sons Ltd., UK. This partnership allowed us to manufacture steam and hot water boilers in Egypt under the supervision of Lloyd’s Register.

Since then, we have produced over 400 boilers and 4,200 other products, solidifying our reputation for quality and reliability.

Certifications and Approvals

• 2001: Approved as a Fusion Welded Pressure Vessels Class I Manufacturer by Lloyd’s Register for marine applications.
• 2015: Achieved UL certification for fuel tanks (UL142 & UL58), marking a milestone in our fuel systems solutions.
• 2018: Received ASME certification, including S-Stamp, U-Stamp, H-Stamp, and HLW-Stamp, along with the National Board R-Stamp.
• 2018: Certified as an ISO 9001 company, ensuring the highest standards of quality management.

We are also the only fabrication facility in Egypt approved by the Egyptian Industrial Ministry for manufacturing steam boilers, hot water boilers, heat exchangers, fuel tanks, and water tanks under one roof.
