Egypt’s Foreign Minister visits Tunisia for bilateral talks and tripartite meeting on Libya

Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, traveled to Tunisia on Sunday, January 25, to hold bilateral meetings with senior Tunisian officials.

The visit comes within the framework of supporting and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as exchanging views on regional issues of mutual interest.

During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria within the framework of the tripartite consultation mechanism on Libya, in the presence of Ms. Hanna Tetteh, Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Libya. 

The meeting aims to enhance coordination and consultation among the three countries regarding developments in Libya and to support efforts to achieve stability while preserving Libya’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. These efforts contribute to fulfilling the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for security, stability, and development.
