Egypt strongly condemned the repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli settlers under police protection on Monday, calling the actions a violation of the legal and historical status quo of occupied Jerusalem.
In a Monday statement, the Foreign Ministry also categorically rejected the continuous military escalations, arrests, and assaults against Palestinians and their properties across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
The ministry warned that these actions flagrantly breach international law, fuel regional tensions, and systematically undermine ceasefire efforts.
Cairo urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, halt ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, and enforce respect for Islamic and Christian holy sites to help restore regional security.
